Violins & Bows
Instruments chosen by ear, kept in shape by hand
Violins, violas and cellos from student to advancing player, and bows to match. Everything is set up and played before it goes on the wall, so what you try is what you take home. Repairs, setups and rehairs are done at our own bench, usually while you wait or within the week.
Repairs
Seams, cracks, pegs, bridges, fingerboards. Quick adjustments through full restorations.
Setups
Bridge, soundpost, nut and strings fitted to the instrument and the player.
Bow rehairing
Done on site. Your bow never leaves the shop.

Local Artwork & Jewelry
A corner of the shop is given over to work by artists and makers from around Troy and the Capital Region: small paintings and prints, handmade jewelry, and the occasional piece that defies a category. The selection changes with the seasons and with whoever has been busy in their studio.
Everything is chosen because we liked it, not because it matched the instruments. Come in, have a look, and ask about the person who made it.
